What We Are Providing
Individual therapy is a therapeutic process that provides individuals with a safe and confidential space to address a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues. Here are some key points to highlight about individual therapy:
Individual therapy sessions are typically 45 minutes in duration. The frequency of sessions can vary depending on the client's needs; weekly sessions are most common, but sessions may be more or less frequent in some cases.
The therapeutic process is highly individualized. Dr. Stein will customize the treatment approach to meet the specific needs and unique goals of each client. This approach helps address the challenges and circumstances of each individual.
Therapy equips individuals with adaptive coping strategies to deal with life’s challenges. Clients learn new ways to manage stress, handle difficult emotions, and make more adaptive choices.
One of the primary goals of therapy is to improve an individual's psychological well-being. This may involve addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, or other mental health concerns. Dr. Stein has extensive training in a variety of evidence-based techniques to help clients manage and alleviate their symptoms.
Therapy can be particularly helpful during times of significant life changes or stressors, such as serious illness, grief and loss, relationship issues, separation or divorce, job transitions, etc. Individual therapy can provide guidance and support during these times, and it can provide a safe space for processing complex emotions related to these significant life events.
Individual therapy is most successful when it is a collaborative process between the therapist and the client. Dr. Stein encourages clients to engage in the therapeutic process, to be vocal in establishing goals, and to take an active role in their own healing and growth.
